The journey to FIRE is simple but not easy. I have been gradually working toward FI for the last ten years. It wasn’t until Fall 2019 when I discovered the concept of creating a yearly budget that I had had my aha moment. Up to this point I had half-heartedly done monthly budgets but none that had ever stuck. But once I created this first yearly budget and the light bulb came on it just all made sense. So this blog is all about my journey from a struggling member of the FIRE community to a more confident productive member.
