I asked myself this question a lot over the last couple years. Yes, the last couple years. That’s how long it has taken me to finally pull the trigger. The reason I wanted to create a blog was to share my experience with my FIRE journey. The biggest question became why not. Why not share the fears, anxiety, and the excitement. I had zero experience with blogging and was intimidated by how to design a blog. I knew that in the long run blogging was going to be the best channel to share my experiences as each new phase of my FIRE journey begins.
Deciding to launch a blog came with a few challenges. Mostly self-imposed and limiting thoughts like I am not a writer. Well telling myself that wasn’t going to make me a writer but actually writing would make me better. So I began with a journal to help work through the anxiety of writing. Magically journaling helped me find the courage. The courage to put myself out there and try something new. I told myself that other bloggers weren’t born knowing they were bloggers. They tried it and took the same steps I am taking. So that is how I found my courage and the blog was born.
The reason creating a blog was the best channel for me was I have plans that would require a more mobile platform. Once I hit FI, I’d like to travel internationally and domestically to visit family. Having a blog allows me the flexibility to continue to share this journey regardless of where I am. So what do you want to share and how do you want to share it? Those were the questions I asked myself and now I ask you. Comment below.
